On 16/04/1985, I saw Bruce Springsteen’s first performance in Japan, a living god for me at the time.
I guess I was flying up, I went to the Nippon Budokan by mistake at the venue.
I remember vividly taking a taxi to the Yoyogi National Stadium No. 1 pool with my friend and another woman of the same generation who seemed to have made a mistake in the venue.

When I entered the venue, I was already playing BORN IN THE USA, and I was paralyzed by the following Badlands intro.
muga = ecstasy & muchu = frantically ?, English expression is difficult.

The set list of the day is on the net.
It was the last day of the Tokyo performance.
As a student, I didn’t have the money to go and see all the performances.
I have money now, but I don’t have the strength and time.

When I play the BORN IN THE USA analog LP, I hear DOWNBOUND TRAIN.
I’m stuck at work and this song is perfect.
BORN IN THE USA is also the first CD I bought when I bought a CD player.
I heard it after a long time.

I was a lot different from what I had imagined back then.
I have to keep walking to get closer to the image I had at that time …
