The first time I could see JACKSON BROWNE live was 16/01/1987 @ Nakano Sun Plaza Hall.
It was a good seat on the 1st floor, 2nd row, number 27.
I remember joining SMASH Inc., which was still an emerging promoter at the time, to get this ticket.
I was staying in Machida city in Tokyo at that time.
I lived in a typical bubble student life in an apartment next to the university I attended.
I remember getting acquainted with the store manager of a record store called Sumiya near Tsurukawa Station on the Odakyu Line, and renting his record as training material before the performance day.
Thank you for purchasing the concert pamphlet.
At that time I was really happy to have so many good times with such music friends.
The reason why I wanted to see the performance in a good seat until I joined the promoter was because I was so impressed that I couldn’t fully describe his new album, LIVES IN THE BALANCE.
The singer’s awareness of the problem echoes straight away, just like the jacket with the statue of the crippled.
I’m putting the album on a turntable right now, but it sounds good to me.
After that, I have been to JACKSON BROWNE many times.
We also performed at the latest Shibuya Orchard Hall.
But going to his next performance in Japan is a hurdle for me right now.
At this year’s Fuji Rock Festival, Naeba in the heat wave is a bit tough.
Mr. Hidaka of smash, please plan a performance on the billboard before JACKSON returns to the US.
See you soon.
