I saw ZZ Top at Nippon Budokan on 17/02/1987.
Second floor, row E, number 11
Eliminator, Afterburner and two albums were hit in Japan, and there was a promotion video of a woman with beautiful legs on MTV.
I had only the two albums mentioned above, but I knew he was one of the biggest in America, so I didn’t hesitate to go.
To be honest, I don’t remember much because it was a long time ago, but I think the flashy stage props were spinning around. Was it a guitar?
I looked at the set list at that time on the net now, and it’s been played a lot from the two albums I had with a lot of hit songs.
I’m writing this and listening to the Eliminator CD for the first time in a while.
I feel relaxed and listening to their songs, but my shoulders don’t have to be strong.
Other than this Afterburner World Tour that I could see, only FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL in 1999 came to Japan as a band.
It may be difficult considering the performance capacity outside Japan, but I would like to enjoy their live while drinking slowly at a venue that is not so big.
Anyway, all three of us are still active.
See you soon.
