The first time I saw Southside Johnny & The Jukes live was 12/03/1987 @ Korakuen Hall.
(At that time, they had Asbury out of the band name)
I was wondering what kind of layout I could see at the Korakuen Hall, where I used to watch professional wrestling and boxing.
Of course, there is no ring, and the floor of that part is open by standing, so if you want to get excited, please go to the front floor. For those who want to take a closer look, it was a cool thing to do on the back stand.
At that time, I was still young and physically strong, and of course I was dancing on the floor from beginning to end.
He played many songs from his new album AT LEAST WE GOT SHOES.
I can’t think of dancing to a white woman who doesn’t know how much she’s excited!
After a long time, I bought all of their works. Of course, I’ve collected all the works that Johnny’s solo works are also available.
19 & 20/09/2017, 4 performances in 2 days at Billboard Live Tokyo.
Fortunately, I was able to see all four performances.
Billboard Live I have seen many performances in Tokyo, but many artists do not change the set list even if they have four performances in two days.
But Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes played most of the four shows with a completely different setlist!
I thought that they could get a glimpse of their ability to play in various places every day.
I’m writing while listening to AT LEAST WE GOT SHOES. It’s my favorite work even now! !
I’d love to see them live again, while drinking.
See you soon.
