The third of the seven CDs I gave to my friend was “Get Rhythm” by Ry Cooder.
I chose to let a friend who loves guitar enjoy the slide guitar.
During this period, Ry Cooder was so popular that it was used in car stereo TV commercials in Japan, and he himself appeared as a slide guitarist in bourbon whiskey’s Early Times TV commercial.
It’s an album that you can listen to, such as the fun of the first song that makes you want to start dancing, and the third song GOING BACK TO OKINAWA’s respectful quotes about the Okinawan melody.
The highlight is ACROSS THE BORDERLINE.
I have no choice but to close my eyes and listen to the fantastic guitar solo and play that reminds me of a magnificent sunset.
After the release of this album, Ry Cooder performed in Japan with a great band member, and fortunately I was a college student at the time, so I could go see it with my friends.
At the climax of the performance, an incredible lucky happening happened.
Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler, who I saw at Nippon Budokan just five days ago, suddenly appeared on stage and sang.
Joe Perry on the far left of the stage, we danced crazy.
It was a happy night.
See you soon.
