Memories of this performance are about to disappear, but I’m sure I went to the venue to see the Beatles members.
I was checking the album “Cloud Nine” and it was a hit in Japan and the video clip was playing on MTV.
I think I went with a friend, but unfortunately I can’t remember who I went with already.

My impression was that when the back band was playing a GEORGE song it was a rough session, but when I started playing the ERIC CLAPTON song I clearly remembered that the degree of perfection suddenly rose.
The performance on “Wonderful Tonight” was particularly prominent, but when I think about it now, it’s obvious that I was a band member of ERIC.

I also remember that a female guest in a nearby seat told the man with “ERIC can’t play Layla?” and was laughed at by guests around me, including myself who knew how the song was born.
I’m listening to two live CDs of the day, and I realize again that the performance was quite better than my impression.

It’s been 18 years since GEORGE died, and there are probably many fans around the world who remember him.
Japan is at the time of Obon right now. I also remember him.
