Ian Dury And The Blockheads

About 18 years ago, I introduced my Pub rock collection with comments at a CD shop in a neighborhood I used to visit frequently.
I remember that I was very happy that I provided about 20 CDs and comments, and various audiences could freely listen to them on the listening device.

At that time, the comment when introducing their “Mr Love Pants” is the pink part of the second image at the bottom. ↓
When I listened to this album for the first time, I was rejoiced that I was so happy with the intro of the first song, “Oh, great, Blockheads is back!” However, the news that Dury suffered from cancer and was fighting illness soon came to me, and it made me reconsider the meaning of the social play here. Dury’s last album, a masterpiece.

Unfortunately I missed their first performance in Japan in 1987, but fortunately I could see them in 1995.
I can’t forget the smile of Ian Dury, who was happy to see the guest jazz and saxophonist Kazutoki Umezu beside the stand microphone.

I also had surgery to remove the cancer four years ago, and fortunately have returned to society.
I am grateful for the joy of being alive and wish to spend my days.
Of course, while enjoying the music.

See you soon.

It is physically difficult after surgery for cancer, so I would appreciate your understanding.
