This concert is the first day of the Blues Festival held in Shinjuku Park Tower Hall in December 1995.
I was invited by a guitarist friend to see Robert Jr. Lockwood, Snooks Eaglin and Little Sonny.
I remember that the multipurpose hall of the building in the skyscrapers near the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office was the venue, and the atmosphere did not suit the blues.
But now that I think about it, it was rather a novel project, and it was rather impressive.
I’m listening to a live CD recorded at the festival, but it’s still a good performance backed by a wealth of experience.
I was fortunate to hear the guitarist playing the lesson directly from legendary bluesman Robert Johnson.
See you soon.
