I’ve been to a lot of shows, but if someone asks me “What’s the show you really enjoyed?”, I’d say Peter Wolf this night.
Immediately after the live ended, I was so excited that I called some friends in front of the venue.
I clearly remember telling my friends how great the performance was.
The video clip of “Come As You Are” he released in 1987 is awesome.
A man who suffers from a hangover jumps out as soon as the wild guitar intro begins to play, and continues to bounce to the final stage.
In a sense, it’s the live of that night.
I’ve been listening to that album since I was a student.
I bought all of his solo albums, but as one of my fans, I feel that these days there are a lot of songs with a rather calm tone.
He came down from the stage that night, went around the hall, and returned, changing from the Boston Red Sox baseball cap to the Hanshin Tigers baseball cap he got from the audience.
Even when it was time to get the audience home, Peter persuaded the promoters on stage to please me in response to the encore.
It was a really fun night like a dream.
I hope he will come to Japan again and have that fun experience.
If possible, the best venue is one that allows the audience to get in touch with him that night.
See you soon.
