The Alan Parsons Project

The first CD player I purchased was the Yamaha CD-X3.
I remember that it was sold in 1985, and it was a price that was ¥44,800- and could be bought for a student’s part-time job.

I clearly remember that I bought two CD software for the first time: Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.” and The Alan Parsons Project “Ammonia Avenue.”

I chose Ammonia Avenue because I expected good sound quality for the new CD format.
I remember listening to my favorite “Don’t Answer Me” at a high volume and was satisfied.

After I bought the ticket, my former colleague at work invited me to the reception, but unfortunately I had to choose this concert.
But I was disappointed when Eric Woolfson didn’t come to Japan.

Alan Parsons also says that Eric is dead and the Project is over.
But the great music that their Project left behind is one of the most important things in my collection.

See you soon.
